Gardens & Trees
The Rose Garden was created in 1888 and is one of the oldest features of the Morris estate.
This beautiful grove, now over 100 feet tall, was planted in ideal conditions – full sun and next to a stream that provides moisture.
The Morris’s wetland is now a thriving example of an ecosystem that supports an abundance of native plant life, as well as year-round and migratory bird populations.
Winter Wellness Walks: Nature Watch
Every second Saturday of the month, learn how to appreciate a garden in the winter on this guided walk. We’ll look for winter interests such as tree bark color/texture, tree silhouettes, buds, and even look for winter-blooming plants. Every walk will be different, join us for as many as you can!
