Justin Gotzis of University Life received an award from The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation to develop “Puck,” a sculptural speaker system that reflects on the “Freetekno” movement.

Pivot-RP Funding Database

Pivot-RP is a database that helps researchers find funding opportunities and collaborators. It covers many disciplines, including the arts, education, health, humanities, science, commerce, and industry. Pivot automatically generates user profiles from publicly available information, or users can create/refine their profiles. It then provides customized funding opportunities based on these profiles.

In partnership with the Vice Provost for Research, members of the Penn community with PennKey credentials can access via single-sign on. Users are also welcome to join the Arts at Penn group in Pivot which highlights funding opportunities across the arts and humanities, including grants, fellowships, residencies, and awards for creative practice, scholarship, public engagement, and interdisciplinary work.

Opportunities can be filtered for Penn faculty, postdocs, and graduate students working in visual art, music, theater, literature, film, design, and related fields.

The Campaign is a Penn initiative that aims to create conversation and dialogue between different groups on campus and to foster a more close-knit community at Penn.

Foundation Directory Online

Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is a database of over 100,000 public and private foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S. Access is available via PennKey.
